CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES/ COMPETITION
Physical fitness is one of the most important elements of leading a healthy life. Physical education promotes the importance of inclusion of a regular fitness activity in the routine. This helps students to maintain there fitness, develop their muscular strength, increase their stamina and thus stretch their physical abilities to an optimum level. Sports help inculcate discipline, self confidence, team spirit sense of belonging , pride, achievement and self esteem, students also understand their victory and defeat is an ongoing process.
The sports facilities offered in our school are –
- Table – Tennis
- Yoga and meditation
Beside Alma Mater offers many co-curricular activities to create a positive learning environment which provides students the freedom to learn, guru and to be what they ought to be child needs both, freedom and discipline. Freedom inspires creativity and through discipline he finds the correct expression. It is there fore necessary to balance both for personal development.
Keeping this in view the schools organizes various intra and inter – class activities and competition. The schools promote multi. Dimensional activities and competitions that include – elocution , debates, spallation. Slogan writing, creative writing, recitation, story narration, quiz, best out of waste, drawing rangoli making , fancy dress, role play, dramatics, music and dance and sports.
To give the children the competitive edge they are divided into four houses which are based on the famous Indian personalities.
- Nehru House
- Gandhi House
- Netaji House
- Patel House
Each house is headed by a captain , a vice captain and two prefects. Besides this the schools also has a Head Boy and Head Girl and a sports captain.
The school organizes and executes various inter house competition during the academic year. All the norms for participating are informed well in advance and the winning students contribute points to their houses. Trophies are given for best turnout.
